Natural DIY Travel Hacks and Advice

Here are some natural DIY health and beauty hacks just in time for spring!


1. Chamomile Tea.

Keep some of these tea bags on hand and place them in the fridge – they have great anti-inflammatory properties and make for a soothing aftershave. As a bonus you can brew the tea, add ice to chill, and apply it with gauze to large areas.


2. Oil!

It doesn’t matter if you’re headed North or South, keeping your skin moisturized is essential – not doing so can lead to irritated – itchy skin, potential for wrinkles or exaggeration of present wrinkles, acne inflammation, and the list goes on. Coconut oil is not only good for cooking it’s also great for the skin. So if the sun leaves you feeling crispy or the snow drys you out – try coconut oil.


3. Yogurt

Yogurt is a well known sunburn remedy. The good strains of bacteria in the yogurt, called probiotics, are good for both your belly and your skin. Probiotics act as anti-inflammatory agents and contain properties that help with acne, anti-aging, rosacea, and eczema.

4. Diet Soda is NOT Your Drinking Buddy

A cognitive psychologist at Northern Kentucky University actually showed that diet pop mixers increases your breath alcohol contact by almost 18%, meaning you get much drunker much quicker.

Here’s why…the sugars in non-diet pops slow down the rate of alcohol absorption in your blood, so the absence of these sugars (aka in diet pop) may increase the rate of absorption.


5. When Life Gives You Lemons – Get Highlights!

Not only can lemons give you a natural highlighted look it can also keep your hair from drying out.

All you’ll need is:
